As part of its efforts to engage industry and secure opportunities for students and alumni, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Career Services Centre hosted Puma Energy Company at a forum to interact with students about their company and select graduate trainees.
The forum, held on Friday, 17th February 2023 at the Kumapley Auditorium, College of Engineering allowed the management of Puma Energy Company to share their experiences and engage students in question-and-answer sessions. There were presentations by the Director of the Career Services Centre, Mrs. Selina Angmor; the Operations Manager of Puma Energy, Mr. Micheal Kyeremanteng; and the Business Development Manager of Puma Energy, Mr. Lionel Nuno.
The Director of the Career Services Centre, Mrs. Selina Angmor, also seized the opportunity to address the attendees, highlighting the importance of such events in bridging the gap between academia and industry.
In a related development, the Director of the Career Services Centre, Mrs. Selina Angmor, alongside the management team from Puma Energy, held a brief meeting with the Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasised the University’s effort to engage industry to produce graduates ready for the world of work. She further seized the opportunity to share the vision of the University's Management to support brilliant but needy students with laptops to help in their academic works through the Vice-Chancellor’s initiative, Support One Needy Student with One Laptop (SONSOL Project) and solicited support from the management of Puma Energy in that regard.
Joining the meeting virtually, the General Manager of Puma Energy, Mr. Zwelithini Mlotshwa, underscored the significance of the collaboration to nurture and provide exciting opportunities for the graduates who excel to evolve within the company.
